Installing
the 300, 369, 368, 387, and 953 are probably some of the easiest
installs out of all Thule base roof racks. Simply slide the bar through
the feet. You may need to pivot the top of the foot and pull out the
lever located behind the tower to allow the bar to slide through. Open
the car doors before attaching to the roof. Position the foot behind
the car’s rain gutter. Attach the bracket around the rain gutter by
feeding the bolt through the foot, bracket, and washer. Before you
begin to tighten the locking knob, make sure the load
bars are positioned evenly between the feet (unless you want the
bars off center, in which case just make sure there's an inch of bar
minimum on the outside of the tower.) When the bars are evenly
distributed, tighten the locking knob until the rack can’t be moved.
Test The
Installation
Push up on the end of bar to test the installation.
Also, grab the bar near the towers and pull back and forth. If the
tower or crossbar slides, check tower for tightness and retighten.
The Thule 300c Complete Rain Gutter Mounted Car Roof Rack may be Thule’s easiest rack to use. The Thule 300 Complete Rack includes 3 components: 4 of the Thule 300 Rain Gutter Feet, 1 Pair of Thule Load Bars, and 4 Thule ec1 Load Bar End Caps. The Thule 300 Rain Gutter Foot Pack attaches to vehicles with standard rain gutters. It also attaches to Thule’s 542 Artifical Rain Gutters (sold separately). The Thule 300 Foot Pack has 5" of load bar clearance from the rain gutter to the bottom of the load bar. We ship Thule's recommended load bar length unless otherwise specified. Thule Lock Cores are sold separately.
The Thule 368c SAAB, Toyota, Complete Rain Gutter Rack is designed for older specific SAAB and Toyota vehicles that have rain gutters. The Thule 368 Complete Rack includes 3 components: 4 of the Thule 368 Toyota, SAAB Car Roof Rack feet, 1 Pair of Thule Load Bars, and 4 End Caps. The simplicity of this rack is very similar to the Thule 300 Rain Gutter Foot Pack. This style rain gutter rack is not suggested for use with Thule's Artifical Rain Gutters. The Thule 368 Foot Pack has 5" of load bar clearance from the rain gutter to the bottom of the load bar. In most cases Thule's recommended load bar length will be provided unless otherwise specified. Thule Lock Cores are sold separately.
The Thule 369c Mercedes, BMW Complete Roof Rack is designed for older specific Toyota, Mercedes, and BMW vehicles that have rain gutters. The Thule 369 Complete Rack includes 3 components: 4 of the Thule Thule 369 Mercedes, BMW, Toyota Car Roof Rack feet, 1 Pair of Thule Load Bars, and 4 End Caps. The simplicity of this rack is very similar to the Thule 300 Rain Gutter Foot Pack. This style rain gutter rack is not suggested with the use of Thule 542 Artifical Rain Gutters. The Thule 369 Foot Pack has 5" of load bar clearance from the rain gutter to the bottom of the load bar. We can ship you Thule's recommended load bar length, or you can specify which size load bars you'd prefer. Thule Lock Cores are sold separately.
The Thule 387c High Foot Complete Rain Gutter Rack is easy to use and provides needed height clearance. The Thule 387 Complete Rack includes 3 components: 4 of the Thule 387 High Rain Gutter feet, 1 Pair of Thule Load Bars, and 4 End Caps. The 387 Rain Gutter Foot Pack attaches to vehicles with standard rain gutters. It also, attaches to Thule’s 542 Artifical Rain Gutters (sold separately). The Thule 387 High Rain Gutter Foot Pack has 8" of load bar clearance from the rain gutter to the bottom of the load bar. In most cases Thule's recommended load bar length will be provided unless otherwise specified. Thule Lock Cores are sold separately.
The Thule 953c Super High Foot Complete Rain Gutter Rack is easy to use and provides substantially needed height clearance. The Thule 953 Complete Rack includes 3 components: 4 of the Thule 953 Super High Rain Gutter Feet, 1 Pair of Thule Load Bars, and 4 End Caps. The Thule 953 Super High Rain Gutter Foot Pack attaches to vehicles with standard rain gutters. It also attaches to Thule 542 Bolt-on Artificial Rain Gutters (sold separately). The Thule 953 Super High Rain Gutter Foot Pack has 11" of load bar clearance from the rain gutter to the bottom of the load bar. In most cases Thule's recommended load bar length will be provided unless otherwise specified. Thule Lock Cores are sold separately.
