The Thule RaceWay 3 Bike Trunk Mounted Bike Rack

Thule's new 9002 RaceWay 3 Bike Trunk Mounted Bicycle Rack just arrived in our warehouse this morning, but we're going to need more of them. LOTS more. Because everyone with bikes but no trailer hitch is going to want one. Thule spent about 2 years perfecting the RaceWay's design, and it shows. The RaceWay's integrated Fit Number system allows you to set the carrier's angle to match the back of your vehicle even faster than on previous models. Thule's new Sure-Tight cable system locks the RaceWay to your vehicle with a couple quick turns of a knob. This new ultra-stable system needs only 4 rubber coated hooks to hold the rack securely in place, and the locking adjustment knobs keep thieves from loosening the cut-resistant cables and walking away with your bike rack . Thule has also included an integrated cable lock to secure the outermost bike (which makes it nearly impossible to swipe your other bikes, too). You can check out the full RaceWay installatio...

The Yakima QuickBack Trunk Mounted Bicycle Rack

If you're looking for the hands down highest quality strap mounted bicycle carrier, then you're looking for the QuickBack from Yakima. It's great for carrying bikes on vehicles without roof racks or receiver hitches, and it's available in both 2 and 3 bike models. Both the QuickBack 2 and the QuickBack 3 install quickly and easily on virtually any trunk or hatchback, with integrated adjustment knobs that set the angle of the bike arms and the main frame, and a labeled strap system that takes all the guesswork out of mounting your rack. Its premium Tr-Padded feet and padded buckles protect your vehicle's finish, and it can be safely mounted on most glass hatches with the included Glass Hatch Hooks. The QuickBack features a new, narrower arm design which accommodates more frame styles than other trunk or hatch mounted bike racks. If your bike lacks a top tube, though, you'll need to pick up a Yakima Tube Top bike frame adapter so that the QuickBack has som...

Introduction To Hatch And Trunk Mounted Bicycle Carriers

There are a lot of different bike racks available these days. If you're an occasional rider looking for an affordable way to bring your bike with you, a trunk or hatch mounted rack is a great option. With these strap on racks, there's no need to stretch and strain while lifting your bike up onto the roof. There's also no need to have an expensive hitch receiver installed on your vehicle, either. They are likely to interfere with rear of vehicle access while strapped onto your vehicle, though, so if you're a more frequent  rider with a lot of gear to haul, you may want to take a look at receiver hitch mounted bicycle racks or roof rack mounted bicycle racks instead. We hope this introduction to trunk and hatch mounted bike carriers will help you decide if a strap mount bicycle rack is right for you. Trunk or Hatch Mounted Bicycle Carriers     Most vehicles on the road today can safely utilize trunk and hatch mounted bicycle racks ,  even...
