TracRac Cantilever Extension - Now Approved For Clamp-On Racks

TracRac has just announced that they officially approve the use of their cantilever extension on the TracRac T-Rac G2 and TracONE Clamp on truck rack systems. The cantilever extension adds increased stability for longer loads, but its use was previously limited to the full TracRac Sliding Truck Rack System. Unless you didn't mind voiding your warranty, that is. But TracRac's engineers have finished a new round of performance testing on the newer G2 designs, and they've given the green light to mounting the TracRac Cantilever Extension on the clamp-on truck racks. You'll still want to keep your loads evenly balanced front...

TracRac Construction, Utility, and Work Truck Pick-Up Truck Racks

The TracRac construction, utility, and work truck rack may look great on your truck, with its polished aluminum frame and clean lines, don't look its looks fool you. The TracRac pick-up truck rack is no lightweight. It has a 1000 lb. weight capacity on most trucks, and its aluminum construction and stainless steel hardware mean you'll have a rust free truck rack for years to come. Both crossbars ...

Yakima's Mako and MakoAero Saddles Kayak Cradles

Carrying a kayak "flat" on a set of kayak saddles is really the way to go if you want to baby your boat. This is especially true with newer lightweight kayaks, as carrying them up on their sides could deform the hull. Yakima's Mako Saddles make it easy carry your boat, with thick felt pads on the cradles that cushion the hull and make it easy to slide your boat up onto the roof.  Special inset rubber pads grip the hull when you tighten the load straps for a firm but gentle hold on your kayak. Mako saddles are curved to fit most hull types, and are sold in pairs. Two pairs of saddles are required for each kayak, so you can use Mako saddles for both the front and back, or you can pair them with Yakima's Hully Rollers to make loading your kayak even easier. Each pair of Mako Saddles includes one load strap with padded cam buckle, one BowStern tiedown strap, and all necessary mounting hardware. Yakima's 4037 Mako Saddles Kayak Cradles will mount to round or squ...
